Tromsø on film

Although a film camera can’t capture the aurora for very simple reasons, the sunny good weather in Tromsø made some good pictures effortless to produce. In some days, the sun was even too strong to be captured and left a black spot on the film. Tromso Nordnorge Museet

I was shocked to see the Tromsøya island at first sight because it was so huge and the houses on the other side are so tiny. The giant cruise ship also stunned me and I had to walk further in order to see the whole of it.

I walked a few steps backwards so I could capture the whole of the cruise ship.

We took the bus to the other side of the island and walked to the Arctic Cathedral. In this photo you can STILL see the Tromsøya. It really is the heart of the city.

The Arctic Cathedral is on a small hill. Outside it was a nice, refreshing view as when you look far, far away, there seems to be no ending of the blue and white.

Ideally, the black spot on the left would be the sun and the whiteness surrounding it would be arrays of light…
